WILLIAM HAGGAR Fairground film maker Biography of a pioneer of the cinema 12th September 2010 Those of you who read John Marriage’s review of the above book in issue no. 132 of Photographica World may be interested to learn that the author, Peter Yorke, will be giving a presentation about his great-grandfather at the next South-West Region meeting on September 12. Amazingly, Peter has been able to obtain restored copies of some of Haggar’s silent films which will be shown at the meeting. For further details contact Jonathan Hill on 01935 815887.
