Here is your opportunity to see our club in action.
We intend to expand this section to show what goes on at Regional,
National & International events, sharing our interest in the
appreciation and collection of photographic equipment, relevant
literature and photographic images.
If you would like to contribute a short series of pictures to
this page, please contact our webmaster, Niv Ebrahimi.

A good audience enjoyed talks by Ron Cosens, John Marriage
and Jonathan Maxwell which followed the short annual
general meeting.
Bill Hodgson won the prize for the most interesting picture
submitted, taken on a collectable camera.
Hertland
AGM & Meeting 28th September 2008
Heartland AGM - It was sad to see Derek Chant
giving up his position as the Southern chairman after so many
years. Dave Chapman was elected as the new chairman and Ivor
Matanle & Lance Potter were re-elected as the Southern
Secretary & Treasurer respectively.
The main speakers for the day were Ivor Matanle ( on
Photographic Developments That Changed The Course Of
Photography ) and John Wade, No not on the Wrayflex, but on
"everything Wray and associated with Wray" ( but the Wrayflex
). The hall was almost full and 29 members attended the
meeting.
Hertland
Meeting 29th June 2008
Roger Bradley, the current National Chairman,
visited the Heartlands Group meeting at Wheathampstead on Sunday,
June 29th. Roger is continuing the tradition that new
chairmen visit each of the club's regions.
His talk was entitled, "The Joys & Perils of a
Dilettante Photographic Collector".
His multi coloured shirt featuring postcards and cameras
was appropriately sourced in Hollywood.

Bievres 2008
This, Europe's largest photo-fair is held
annually, outdoors, in the
village of Bievres
a few kilometres from Paris on the way to Versailles.
There is a huge range of items for sale. The vendors ranging from serious dealers
to individuals with a cloth on the grass with a few items for sale.
Frustratingly, very few items have a price tag which seems to favour those visitors with
a definite shopping list.
This year prices seemed quite high by
British standards.
Even so its a great day out.

Witney Meeting 2008
Witney, Oxfordshire meeting, February 17, 2008, organised by
the Southern Region. The day included a variety of sales tables by
club members, a lively junk auction led by Peter Harris and talks by
John Wade and Derek Chant.
As always, much
conversation flowed between those attending the meeting. Despite the
general use of the internet, meetings
still have much to offer club members.
