Skeleton Binoculars

Made in England

Here is a pair of beautifully made binoculars ( which I believe are known as "Skeleton Binoculars" ) made by Aitchison's & Co. ( Patent 1016 ).

Home made Leica Copy Camera????

Made in UK

I bought this item a few months ago (spring 2006) and according to the lady who sold it to me this camera was made by her late husband who was a very good metal worker/engineer in mid 1960's.

The camera takes screw mount L39 Leica lenses and at the moment has an Elmar 50mm F3.5 on it.

The camera would have been fully functional at one time but the blind straps have come off and now needs a bit of attention. The range finder is also in good working order.

Zeiss Ikon Voigtlander Light Meter / Flash Meter ????

Made in Germany

This Light meter was made in Germany by Zeiss Ikon ( Voigtlander ). That is as much as I can get from the writings on it.

I have never seen one of these before and when I saw it in Italy I had to buy it.

Unfortunately all my research so far into this item has resulted in absolutely nothing.

I would be very glad to hear from anyone who would know what this item was used with.

Thanks to David Kirk, I now know that this item fits the Contarex Electronic and when fitted it makes the camera aperture priority.
I have tried to look this item up in different instruction manuals but have had not much luck, but have seen very similar sensors used with different gadgets on the Contarex Super Electronic.

Vivitar 50th Anniversary Gold Plated Lenses

PKA Fitting

by Vivitar United Kingdom Ltd.

These lenses were made in 1988 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vivitar.

My understanding is that 50 of each set was made to fit different type of cameras ( i.e. 50 PKA and 50 Nikon fit....etc. ).

This set is numbered 5 of 50 and consist of one 28-105mm 1:2.8-3.8 lens and one 70-210mm 1:2.8-4.0 lens. Both are PKA fit and are of Vivitar Series 1 type. They come in a wooden presentation box lined with black velvet.

Turret Master for the Kodak Instamatic 100 Series Cameras.

This item was made in Japan for the Series 100 Instamatics & consists of one eyepiece and two lenses. The lenses are marked as Aux. - Wide & Aux. - Tele. The eyepiece is accordingly marked for these lenses.

The Auto Camera MK 3

D. Shackman & Sons

Serial Number: 2213

These cameras are generally quite rare and seem to fetch around £400 - £500 on on-line auctions.

The unusual parts of this camera are that it has a viewfinder with parallax correction built-in and has a focusing screen on the inside.

The previous owners research tells me that there were only six of this model was ever made and the order could have possibly come from the Navy! I cannot verify that either of these claims are true or false.
